About me
I’m a Wisconsin-based writer with experience covering science, politics and art. Currently I’m a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Before going back to school, I worked as a science writer for the UW-Madison College of Engineering External Relations office. I wrote news releases and helped produce alumni publications that highlighted technology transfer, global impact, interdisciplinary collaborations, research advances and campus life.
Additionally, I worked briefly as a communications intern at the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Deer Park Buddhist Center in Oregon, Wisconsin. I also served as editor-in-chief at Illumination, a UW-Madison humanities journal, a judge for the Wisconsin High School Forensic Association, and a writing tutor at two UW-Madison programs. I hold a bachelor’s degree in journalism and anthropology.
